I don’t usually leave reviews on Trip Advisor, although I travel plenty for pleasure and work. But Vadim was so wonderful and this tour was so educational, and so much better than anything I’ve ever experienced, that I have to say a little thank you.
Live-Stream Virtual Tour of Prague's Glorious Strahov Monastery Library
60-minute Live Stream Tour and Q & A With a Friendly Expert
Journey Behind-the-Ropes at the Breathtaking Baroque Strahov Library
Learn About the Monks' 900 Years of Dedication to Books, Natural Sciences and Beer Brewing
Join our expert guide on a live-streamed tour through one of the most beautiful libraries in the world. The Strahov Monastery book collection near Prague Castle was founded almost 900 years ago and is housed in the magnificent Theological and Philosophical Halls, which you may recognize from films and TV shows, including Amadeus and Outlander. By special arrangement with the library, we will be able to walk behind the ropes and move through the 17th- and 18th-century halls, which are filled with Baroque ornamentation and Rococo décor, exploring the allegorical frescoes designed to reconcile religion with a new era of scientific investigation in the Age of Enlightenment. Along the way, we will learn fascinating details about the monks’ dedication to books, natural sciences and to their legendary beer, first brewed in the 1400s. This tour is a wonderful way for groups to connect during Covid-19. We can take up to 100 devices (even more by request!).
Enjoy an exclusive private journey behind-the-ropes at the glorious Baroque Strahov Monastery Library (you may recognize it from a number of contemporary films and television shows).
Explore the stunning frescoes full of allegories reconciling religion with science and other masterpieces of Baroque and rococo decor.

This was a wonderful tour for my 85 year old mum and myself, Bonita met us in the hotel and we took the tram to the gardens. She is so knowledgeable and experienced in Prague, the history and insight she gave us was amazing! I would highly recommend for garden and history lovers!
I’d rebook with them any day (and I’d welcome them into our home if they ever venture to our part of the world) and I will highly recommend them to anyone of my colleagues or friends who are taking a similar trip. Pricing – is it the cheapest? Nope. Is it entirely worth it? Yes! The experience and attention to detail and overall feel of our vacation was entirely worth it.
