Vadim was an excellent guide – conceptual and political themes into historical context. As a bonus, the sunset from Vitkov was stunning and something that most tourists don’t get to see. Highly recommended!

At the crossroads of European history for over 1,000 years, Prague’s soaring churches(opens in a new tab) and ancient synagogues(opens in a new tab) testify to the Czech, German, and Jewish communities that each left their mark on this fabled city, even before it was rebuilt by visionary Emperor Charles IV into the capital of an empire.
On private and small-group tours, or day trips from Prague, Insight Cities’ historians help you discover the city’s dramatic role at the center of Europe’s religious conflicts. We walk in the footsteps of the leaders, musicians, artists, and intellectuals who shaped the city’s fortunes, even as we explore Prague’s modern ordeals under Nazi Occupation and Cold War authoritarianism(opens in a new tab). It was a rainy day so we had to adjust a little. Beer was good, and Vad’s knowledge was over the top. Ended up spending 5 hours with him learning about Czech history
This tour was fantastic. Vadim was an amazing guide and I would recommend this to anyone who wants a sophisticated, intellectual discussion on this history of communism in the Czech lands.
Insight Cities is head and shoulders above many other European tours I’ve been on. The guides are professors and subject matter experts in the field, and their expertise and ability to captivate a crowd really comes across. I took the tour with my mother and we both enjoyed it immensely. Going on this tour made our trip to Prague extra special. If you are visiting Prague, don’t miss it!
The Insight Cities tour of Art Nouveau/Cubist Architecture is a very entertaining and stimulating tour of Prague’s architectural wonders. This tour takes you on a pleasant walk through some of Prague’s most beautiful sites – both the well-known monuments and the city’s hidden gems. During our walk, our guide Bonita offered fascinating details about art nouveau, cubism, and art deco and gave insight into the historical events in Central Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries that led to the formation of these art movements.
