I have always wanted to visit Prague and, after this tour, I understand why this is such a popular tourist destination. The images we saw, both live and streamed, were wonderful. I especially appreciated the broad grasp of history, art, architecture, politics and literature that Bonita and Vadim displayed. It’s rare to have tour guides with this range of knowledge. Their love for the city really came across.

75-min Live-Stream Tour with a friendly historian
Explore the dramatic designs of Europe's first formal gardens
Gurgling Fountains, Classical Statues, Topiary Mazes, Peacocks & Frescos
This live streamed virtual tour of Prague’s breathtaking Wallenstein Garden makes it possible for you and and your friends to journey through the first Baroque garden north of the Alps, from the comfort of home. You encounter gurgling fountains, dramatic sculptures, topiary mazes, white peacocks and imposing architecture. Built 500 years ago by the supreme commander of the Hapsburg’s armies during the Thirty Years’ War and used today as the garden of the Czech Senate, this masterpiece of the Baroque era is also fascinating for the tragic life of its commissioner, Albrecht von Wallenstein. Your historian guide helps you to learn the secrets of the garden’s creation and design principles and to decode the mythology of the classical statues and frescos in the context of Renaissance-era Prague’s cataclysmic battles over true religion. At each major site, your guide pauses for Q & A. You can invite all your friends since we take up to 100 devices!
Find out why the eerie, gargantuan Grotto Wall with its grimacing demon faces was included in a garden paradise.
Enjoy the Hercules Fountain, with its dramatic combination of beauty and violence, and its colorful Koi carp.
Take in the largest Sala Terrena (earth room) in all of Euope with its mythical frescoes.
Get a glimplse of the elegant and treachorous life of Prague nobility, from the Renaissance to the Nazi occupation and WWII.

Bonita and her husband did a phenomenal job showing the beauty and telling the history of Prague! They took us through the most gorgeous places as well as showing us and explaining painful historical references. During the pandemic, it is impossible for me to travel. This virtual tour was perfect, relaxing informative and enjoyable. It was a wonderful gift my friends children gave their father for a birthday present. Thrilled I was invited!
Bonita and Vadim of Insight Cities are fabulous and knowledgeable tour guides – it was like having a lovely dinner conversation with friends while walking through a gorgeous and historically rich city scape. I now want to visit Prague more than ever – with all the art, ancient sites, architecture and beauty we saw, but more importantly, the rich context they provided. The virtual format worked surprisingly well.
This was such a great experience! Bonita, our excellent guide, gave us a Zoom walking tour in which she interwove history with architecture and sites which make Prague so unique and worth visiting. Originally from New York, Bonita talks non stop for an hour as she walks from the famous Old Town square through the nearby streets. Even if you’ve been there before, you will learn new information and see buildings and typography which will thrill you. At the end, you’ll want to book tickets to see Prague for yourself, but in the meantime, I recommend seeing some of it through Bonita’s eyes. They do other tours also. Try Insight Cities yourself.
Their virtual tour through familiar streets was a delightful way to travel back to Prague this New Year’s weekend! I learned more from their well-researched narration, engaging human stories and amazing historical perspectives than many learn in universities about Prague and Czech culture. I loved the theatrical stories and the clips from inside the theater and other events that were so spot-on with the Charles IV Bridge monuments and views! All this and never having to use sanitizer, masks, or show a passport… Thank you!!
